    Default Win XP to Seven

Hi all I will migrate my XP pro this evening about seven 64-bit, I understand that installing 'over' lost complete information / programs etc? Is that correct?

You cannot upgrade to XP 32-bit => 7 64-bit, keeping your data. You'll need to do a clean install, ie formatting your disk. Use the Windows Easy Transfer utility to copy your important data to external HDD. Start the installation of Windows 7 that will remove the contents of your hard.Restart Windows Easy Transfer utility to recover data from the external drive and put on your internal drive. It's normally not you will reinstall your software, but you will not lose your documents.

Hello, Easy transfer of the interest is still the right place to put the data but also everything related program data, the parameters of various windows. It remains then to reinstall the programs. I saw him in action is very effective.
