Disc drive wiped entails you are testing to cancel entire document from disc drive , in short formatting. You can accomplished this by taking formatting choice, just in some instants your disc drive will be abandon, but if you require to set up xp and you are testing wiped then first see did you leave it altogether blank or did you make an empty division? For set up xp make a little division in HD differently windows xp installer will be spotted that “they don’t determine any division and your procedure will be betrayed don’t recognize about this Gparted software.

I recognize about this,I read in many article about Gparted ,Linux does have graphical instrument to resize a wood,Gparted is software is particularly planned for ubuntu and Linux to clear and resize the repel with graphics. For utilizing gparted ,download gpated and applied as sudo apt-get set up gpartedand and you can cancel former division and make new one then try to install xp ,it operates .

If yours Bios did not observe HDD then according to me gparted is better one to utilize.run gparted and make division and if division is not there then include Dos Fat32 division and format it and view the alter if bios did not finds disc drive then update bios or testing to set up actual O.S. and operate installer. I am certain this technique is defeated your trouble .dont forgot to see Bios setting .
