One of those opportunities - Access. Using tables access control Windows XP user can restrict access to their data, posted on the computer or network hard disk format NTFS. Controls access restrict access to files for a particular user or group of computer users.

Setting permissions for files and folders.

Setting specifies the type of access permits authorized user or group. For example, the entire finance team is granted permission to read and write file payroll.dat containing data payroll organization. This configuration permits sets the level of access for groups and users. For example, a user is allowed to read the contents of a file to another - to make changes in the file, and all other users are prohibited all access to the file. For printers installed similar permission to allow some users to configure printers, and the rest - just print them. Change permission associated with a file or folder, it is necessary for them or the owner who granted permission.

Solutions for the group.

Better not permit users to assign and groups, as it eliminates the need to control access to each individual user. If that is possible, instead of individual permits to allow Full control (Full control). Setting Deny (Deny) applies to exclude a subgroup of the group, for which the resolution Allowed (allowed), or cancel a separate permit for a user or group, which has already given full control.

Weed granted permission depends on the type of object. For example, for file and for key permits are granted different. However, there are general types of permits, including at the following operations:
