Once all the 'pre-installation checklist steps are completed, you are ready to install Windows XP. The installation process is easy if you performed the pre installation steps. The first and foremost advice when installing any operating system is to do the homework first. This way the number of possible problems will be greatly reduced. During the installation process, the computer must be restarted three times.
During the first phase, a selection must be made whether to upgrade 'or perform a clean installation, the product key must be entered, and a basic hardware check including available disk space is accomplished. After the first phase is finished, restart the computer. After the restart, the second phase to an end. The computer restarts and the third phas~ begins. During this phase, devices are installed, the Administrator password is entered, and the operating system is created. The system restarts a final time and the log on screen is presented.
