Accessibility Options

1. Accessibility options are not just for people with disabilities. The settings can be applicable to any computer user to make their computer environment more comfortable. Click on the Accessibility Options category. Click on the first task, Adjust the contrast for , text and colors on your screen. The Accessibility Options window opens with the Display tab active.

2. The two configuration sections are High Contrast and Cursor Options. Click on the Use High Contrast check box to enable it and click on the Apply button. A "Please wait" message appears and then the screen changes.

3.Click on the Use High Contrast check box to disable it and click on Apply. The screen returns to normal. Click on the Cancel button and the Accessibility Options control panel category window reappears.

4.Click on the second task, Configure Windows to work for your hearing, vision, and mobility needs. The Accessibility Wizard appears. This wizard steps through visual, auditory, and motor skills settings. Click on the Next button. The Text Size window appears.

5.Click on the Next button and the Display Settings window appears.

6. Click on the Next button and the Set Wizard Options window appears.

7. The option that is probably the most vague is Administrative options. This option is used to turn certain accessibility features off if the computer sits idle and make the accessibility features available to one user or all users. Click on the Cancel button. A Save Changes message box appears. Click on the No button so that all configuration changes are not kept.
