Thread: Help… unable to link with the wireless router!!!!!!!!

Hi there everyone

I have purchased a Acer travelmate 5720 notebook two days ago. I also have a Billion 5200g wireless adsl router in my house. Problem is that I am not able to access the router. The wireless icon also says that "identifying... (wlan-ap) which can access only the local network. I can only access to the internet via Lan cable. I have also checked the router by connecting it to the net via PSP console and other laptop too. Can someone out there help me please with this issue!!!

Disable the encryption and MAC Address filtering on the router and try to connect it via wireless. Considering the success which you can most likely re-enable encryption and reconnect. If failure please show ...

Start, Run, CMD, OK to open a command prompt:

Type the following command: IPCONFIG /ALL

Right click in the command window and Opt for Select All, then hit at the Enter.
Paste the results shown in the message over here. If required then use a text file and removable media for copying the results to a computer with the internet access.
