Dropping out of wireless connection

Hi there, my wireless connection is getting dropped after every 5 minutes from use. I am also running Windows XP SP3 and also a Netgear WG311T (WG311TNA written on box) adaptor and a DLINK DIR-615 (wireless N) router.

I ran the ipconfig so wherein you might have some info:

I’m also trying to turn off the verification under the Wireless-Advanced-Authentication. I have also attempted for turning off the auto-login. Windows is also controlling my wireless access; I’m also finding it difficult to uninstall the netgear software since it will take all the drivers with it. I did take the netgear wizard out of the startup so that it is now no longer shows up the message. I also knew that there isn’t too much of intervention because I have a perfect internet access in Linux, it setup without a problem.

If you are finding it difficult for uninstalling it the third party tool I would say to make use of it. I have also run into these types of things which were easily making use of the third party tool which makes everything happy. Also the update for the latest drivers and firmware are there.

ok if I strive to make use of the supplied software I cannot connect at all. The software also says that I am connected with it but then too the windows wireless icon pops up and it gets stuck at the gaining of a network address, which gives me limited or no connectivity. And I did turn off the use of windows wireless checkbox.

Following is the result of ipconfig:

Your suggestions are that you are not having connection. Have you uninstalled the adapter completely as well as all the software, and then installed a fresh one?

Yes, I have even pulled it out from the case. Would that may have helped it to get an ipconfig printout while it is being connected?

When it's connected, I'm also presumptuous that the IPCONFIG would also look fine. Have you disabled all the firewalls and anyway the Internet security application in order to see that it has an effect on it?

Ok when I have a few results which will try to sum up it:

The whole thing also works fine in linux so I know that the router and the path are ok. I have also tried disabling of my firewalls and things but it didn’t help me. If I make use of the Netgear software I’m not able to get connected with it stuck while acquiring the network address. This is what it looks like while making a try to acquire the address
Code:
Code:
Windows IP Configuration

        Host Name . . . . . . . . . . . . : Moza
        Primary Dns Suffix . . . . . . . :
        Node Type . . . . . . . . . . . . : Broadcast
        IP Routing Enabled. . . . . . . . : No
        WINS Proxy Enabled. . . . . . . . : No

Ethernet adapter Wireless Network Connection 3:

        Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
        Description . . . . . . . . . . . : NETGEAR 108 Mbps Wireless PCI Adapte
r WG311T
        Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 00-14-6C-8F-3F-07
        Dhcp Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : Yes

        Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . :
        DHCP Server . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.255
This is what it looks like after it fails to acquire its address
 Code:
C:>ipconfig -all

Windows IP Configuration

        Host Name . . . . . . . . . . . . : Moza
        Primary Dns Suffix . . . . . . . :
        Node Type . . . . . . . . . . . . : Unknown

Then i disable the provided software to use windows wireless.
It works for a few minutes seen here:
Code:
C:Documents and SettingsAdministrator>ipconfig -all

Windows IP Configuration

        Host Name . . . . . . . . . . . . :Moza

        Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 00-14-6C-8F-3F-07
        Dhcp Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : No
        IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.189
        Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0

        DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.1
But then cuts out, and gets stuck validating identity:
Code:
C:Documents and SettingsAdministrator>ipconfig -all

        Host Name . . . . . . . . . . . . : Moza
        Primary Dns Suffix . . . . . . . :

        WINS Proxy Enabled. . . . . . . . : No

Ethernet adapter Wireless Network Connection 3:

        Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
        Description . . . . . . . . . . . : NETGEAR 108 Mbps Wireless PCI Adapte
r WG311T
        Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 00-14-6C-8F-3F-07
