Solved: Wireless Router; requires as a minimum of 1 wired connection?

I'm new to the wireless networking, so this might be a simple question: I’m having a Belkin wireless G router connected with the 3 computers in my house running off the router. Does the router want at least one computer be connected with a cable for running all the other?

I also had made use of a quick search of the pdf physically and the producer database but there is no success for the trying to view it. Currently there is a desktop system in the same room where the router and modem are been connected to the router with a cable. There are the other two computers which are been connected to the router wirelessly in other parts of the house. I also desire to move the desktop which is been connected to the router with the help of the cable to another room in the house, but that might leave the router with no computer connected to a cable, does it matter? The modem which was placed where it is by the cable company and the router is next to it placed in it.
Thanks for any help.

In assumption, no. However, while updating the firmware in the computer or doing the configuration changes it is the best to have a hard wired connection to the router and modem for better result. Generally when you are doing the firmware upgrades.

In fact, for the configuration, it's pretty obligatory to connect by making use of a wired connection. Approximately any router which is manual which will tell you NO to the update of the firmware by just using a wireless connection for what should be understandable reasons. Once everything is been configured and running, there's no more requirement for an enduring wired connection to the router.

Thanks for your replies. OK, so I don't require having a system with a wired to the router apart from having for the firmware upgrades. Does it matter which system is been connected with a wire when the firmware needs to be updated? Am I able to wire a notebook to the router and then upgrade firmware by making use of the notebook or do it will too require the original computer which is been connected with a wire? It would be a major problem then to re-connect the computer that was been originally associated with a cable, rather then a desktop system. It will be about 50 feet away from the computer.
Thanks for your help.

I consider that you are able to wire any computer which you like to place the router for configuration and updates.

Yes, you can definitely make use of a notebook to perform the upgrades. Now also be sure to follow the orders cautiously when you do any firmware upgrades or you will brick your router and that is a bad thing.
