Thread: How to increase signal from neighbors router?

My neighbor has agreed to allow me access to his router. However the signal is weak due to distance between our homes. Is there a way to increase the signal? Could I use my Motorola/Netopia 3347-03 modem/router to increase the signal and or connect to his router?

Only if the router can be configured as a wireless bridge.

What is the distance to your neighbor's access point?

You may need a wirelesss bridge to make the connection signal stronger.

You can also use a wireless extender and just plug it into your wall making sure it is as close to your neighbors router as possible.
