Wireless routers have become ever-present in households to supply Internet access to all computers or laptops in house. Costlier routers often boast additional wireless range that can’t be compared with cheaper routers. But with some household materials, can make a parabolic wireless internet extender that can substantially enhance the range of even reasonable routers.

• Cut a slim portion of cardboard in a rectangle measuring about 6x8 inches. Bigger rectangles having additional surface will enhance the wireless signal even more, but takes extra space as well.

• Fix an aluminum sheet to both side of the cardboard rectangle with glue.

• Cut an extra portion of cardboard in a circle of about 8 inches. To ensure parabola larger or smaller, circle's diameter should be the same as the highest edge of the rectangle.

• Cut 2 semicircles of 1 inch in width from 2 opposite sides of circle.

• Fold half inch near the perimeter of circle.

• With the missing semicircles of circle on the right and left sides, twist the top and bottom of the circle in the direction of each other. Fix the lips of circle to the foil-covered side of the rectangle, twisting the rectangle in so that the whole surface of the lip is fixed.

• Make a small hole in the top and end of the circle of cardboard.

• Insert the antenna of wireless router from the 2 holes made to put the antenna inside the curve of the huge rectangle.

• If wireless router has 2 antennae, make a 2nd parabolic extender to join with the second antenna.
