Wireless connections are provided by routers, tiny parts of hardware that sends wireless signal that allow PCs connecting to Internet without plugging anything. This kind of connection can be risky as anyone can use connection. But keeping password on wireless connection prevents anybody from accessing connection without permission.

· Using browser, open IP address of router by putting its IP address in address bar of browser and hitting "Enter". If not sure about IP address, consider router software manual.
· After getting inside router control panel, password might be required. Many routers, original password will be "admin," but if it does not work, consider router software manual.
· On router control panel, click "Wireless Security".
· WPA PSK wireless with TKIP security is newest modern wireless security and it is not hacked with latest PCs, click on it.
· Type a password to prevent wireless network. If prompted to re-enter password re enter password.
· Hit "Apply Changes" or "Save Changes" based on the kind of router used.
· Restart router. While trying to join wireless network, you will be prompted for a password. Type password and PC will connect to wireless network.
