Issues with D-Link WDA-2320 wireless adapter

On my Lenovo laptop and I installed XP. I utilized to surf on Internet via Wi-Fi on laptop. Laptop has D-Link WDA-2320 wireless adapter which utilized to attach to wireless network. As using XP, Wireless adapter utilized to get attached to network with complete 4 bars. Now I upgraded OS to Windows 7 but now D-Link wireless adapter attaches to wireless adapter with only 2 to 3 bars. Router which I attach to is Linksys wireless router. Please help me to recognize problem. Any help is highly appreciated.

    1) Signal power of wireless connection based on distance of PC from wireless router or wireless access point. If distance is more between PC and wireless access point or router then signal power low as compared to signal power when PC is near to router or access point. Also if there are some metallic objects in surrounding area of PC or router then signal gets isolated which causes signal power to decrease. So test connection strength when PC is near to router and see if it correct or not. If there are metallic objects, delete them and test signal strength.

    2) Windows 7 has compatibility problems with makers of network adapters. Because of this incompatibility problem, there are no drivers obtainable for network adapters related to these makers. So check if maker of network adapter supported by Windows 7. If it is supported, then download drivers which supports by Windows 7 for model of network adapter. Also try and upgrade drivers which are installed on PC by go to device manager.

    3) Test configuration of router. If router is not organized appropriately then devices which are attached to it unable to access all resources of network. To test configuration of router, login to router for this you need default IP address which is in manual. Type this in address bar of browser and press enter. If you have not modified user name and password of router, use default. Now test if configuration is appropriately done or not.
