    Hello,

The internet that your girlfriend has is ADSL??

Because if it may be that it is routed modem (PPPoE), so the person who made the network connected to a LAN port, if the router works with a switch. Dynamic IP-DHCP. It is to be sure you plug in the internet on the WAN port and configure the router mode Dynamic IP-DHCP.

Even setting fixed IP on the notebook, you can not connect?

The modem is configured as a router .....

The configuration of the cables is not that strange ... dthe way the person set ai .. this functional and appropriate "in this case." Perhaps the option Wirelles the router is turned off ... Check this if you want to use the wireless network ..... for information on how to configure this router .... search for it on the model and manual ...... If you can not post here .... 'll help .............

The note on the fixed IP did not work? you put the same IP range of the other machine? certinho configured IP and DNS ?????

    Good luck

So friend, the blue cable connection is correct, just make sure it is in the window 1.
The cable Internet should be connected to the right where it is identified by WAN

    Hello,

In this way the cables are connected, was for the router to function as an "access point".

Try setting the fixed IP to your notebook as follows:

    IP: 192.168.0.105
    Mask: 255.255.255.0
    Gateway: 192.168.XY (ip modem)

    Primary DNS: 192.168.XY (ip modem)
    Alternate DNS: "blank."

remember that should disable the dhcp of the router.

If it does not work, you must configure your modem in bridge mode and plug it into the WAN port of the router, then you must configure the router in PPPoE mode to authenticate.

At the time, your modem is configured as a router (PPPoE).
