Add-on modules for WiFi aren't just made for laptops. Phones without a WiFi feature can get the feature by adding a smo card. smo is Secure Digital Input Output which is a different interface similar to SD. If your phone supports smo, you can add WiFi connectivity using a smo interface. There are some SD interfaces that allow other additional connectivity options such as Bluetooth. There are even some smo components that allow USB interfaces with the phone. Using these, wired USB WiFi adapters can be used.
