The first type is rectangular, plugs directly into a USB port and look likes flash drives. The second type is a Wi-Fi antenna that plugs into the USB port and has an extension cord so users can connected computer tower or desk. WiFi USB cards offer plug-and-play compatibility with most OS, meaning that drivers are installed automatically. WiFi USB adapters let any PC with a free USB port access the Internet. Before installing an internal PCI Wi-Fi adapter, which gets few PC hardware knowledge, users can connect USB adapter externally.
