WiFi routers are used to connect PCs and laptops together using the 802.11 standard. Bluetooth is another way to wire-lessly connect devices which is usually used to connect mobile phones and their accessories.

Bluetooth is far slower than WiFi, and also works in smaller areas. However, mobile phones can sync with the computer through a Bluetooth adapter. There are Bluetooth routers which allow multiple Bluetooth devices at a time to it.
