Thread: Weak wireless signal issue.

Hi people, I have a problem and although I have a low signal strength on my wireless network. It could be because the signal through two floors of the building must be through because I am in the 2nd floor and our Easy Box is on the ground floor. My WLAN Stick AVM is now about 5 years old and already dominated thus also no N standard. Would it help me if I use a different stick? If so what would be the best because that would stick with my box will suit? I have dlan I ever thought or Powerless purchase what would you advise me here? Because I've tried an old Fritz box as in my previous Samsung box in Free net as a repeater but they want to integrate connect to net with my Easy Box and also does so only with the WEP.

A new stick with 802.11N will bring no improvement of the connection. As for the Fritz box as a repeater which can advise as only WEP is supported what we can crack within 30 seconds, even the old EPA standard is no longer secure and can be decoded in a few minutes.

It is also questionable whether a repeater bring the desired improvement in signal strength, because it helps try it.

Dan would be an alternative, but what then first again would have the disadvantage that one has then in the 2nd floor only one Lane port on the back and then connected to a WLAN access point needs to be. If the old Fritz Box running in this mode, then that would be no problem.
