I have a situation in my house, 2356 sq foot home, where my computer,, which I use for work, is connect directly to an Ambit wireless cable modem, model #U10C019, which was supplied by Road Runner. My wife's computer, which is around 100 feet away on the other side of the house, is on a Netopia wireless card. Both computers are desktop computers. I have no problem with speed on my computer since it is connect directly to the modem but my wife is only getting the top speed which the wireless card will give her, 56 Mbps, and from time to time the speed will go down and at other times she will get disconnected. Since we cannot move the modem closer to her computer what would you recommend we do so she can get a better signal and speed up her internet connection?
