I just got a used wireless router. I have an native modem that is linked to my pc to give me internet. It makes use of a cable that punches into the wall. My wireless modem is a Linksys Wireless-G Broadband router model number WRT54GS and for the internet connection uses ethernet. How can i attach the wireless router to the internet? So I have a wireless connection?

Forget about your modem to the wall connection "as is". Remove the ethernet that from the modem to your computer and put that in the Internet port on the router. You will require one more ethernet cord from the computer to the router to do the initial configuration of the wireless settings on the router.
