I too have the self same trouble in my internet connections; I had brought a latest router it was WRT54G, I ran the artefact process from the CD that was provided to me. In one f the locomote in checks for the connectivity of the internet from the cable, but it is unable to attain that. I proved lots of idea but no use, the only way that I can interact to the net is by disconnecting through the modem and connecting from the modem.
