HP Pavilion troubles with wireless router please suggest me

Hi, I have a HP Pavilion dv6-6b45ezlaptop with Windows 7, the router is called NETGEAR N900 WirelessDual Band Router WNDR4500, if I want to make my laptop with awireless connection, I'll see a link ( the one with 2 gigahertz).Because the router but has a more stable 5Ghz connection, I wouldlike to access them now, where is the mistake, is my WiFi receptionon the laptop for unrureichend strange is so that an iPad with what Ihave tried the same, Indicating the 5 gigahertz connection withoutproblems thank you for your answers.

Apparently your laptop has a wireless card then that does not support the 5Ghz band, because you can not do anything except install a different card, i did the same with my phone and my Laptop Galaxy S2 is not the power, laptop is. Funny Thing is with me that the 5Ghz network only has a range of about 5 meters, the 2.4 Ghz range of about a 30m.

Just look what wireless hardwareinstalled and the manufacturer's data sheet to read, them all shouldbe eliminated clarities, the model designation of a notebook saysunfortunately not always know exactly what hardware is actually builtfor now.
